Bryan I used to live in a town considered in the desert and we had a large lake much like this one. So I suppose it just goes to show that different countries and different climates.

Hi,
I think that you have a good porfolio too. And this image is very good. Even if it's too dark to my taste I belive that this shot let me remember far worlds... a link between future and past... In fact if I think where you shotted this photo... it's a far world for me! (I never seen that beautiful Country) :)

The story behind the picture. Okay. I had a wonderful day treating the children to a morning tea out followed by photos at the cemetary!!! Then after a nap I took them to my magical place and followed them with the camera. Hence this shot.

Great composition and color...its amazing what you can do to what was originally a not so good shot and make it something. Sometimes one finds that people try and over-rescue a photo. If its beyond rescue then bin it! And move on.
It would appear that this shot had major burn out from the sun and I think you have used this to its advantage...well done.
