Stu, I also photographed the flowers that you see at the base of this image. But the colour of the petals was so vibrant that it reflected harshly with the sun. So I was disappointed that in the short time I had to capture them I couldn't get an overall image, so instead I concentrated on photographing the new buds. I felt that they themselves had a beauty that is normally overlooked by the passerby.

Amazingly beautiful. Superb clarity and brilliant colors.
