Teresa I think the Zoo is a excellent place to practice up, where else can you go and get to shoot different light and dof situations and are almost guaranteed a great subject. But at our zoo we don't have any cougars and the one I went to that did that cat was behind a fence. I have been invited to go on a hunt and take pictures...call me softy but I don't care to see a animal a incredible as a cougar killed. They might shoot me for warning it lol. I have a friend and we might hire a guide to take just us and to take pictures only. It's a thought anyways. Back to your cougar...still a great shot. Lee

Lee, I really appreciate the kind comment, but I have to tell you....this was in captivity. It was at the Memphis zoo. But think it is an excellent place for great photos.

Excellent Teresa, love the expression. I'm in true envy as I work very hard to find a cougar shot they are not a animal that comes out in the opening very often. I have only seen two in the wild and I didn't have a camera at the time. Well done. Lee

Teresa:
Very nice catch. You know; I don't think she appreciates your attention based on her look. Nice detail, and color.
Best regards David

What a look! And nice crop, too. Maybe, less sharpening?
