thank you both, kurt and marja.

the fishing is nice at Hume Lake, but unfortunately my friends i was camping with and i didn't have enough money to rent a canoe nor enough room in the car to bring a fishing pole along.

have fun with your new camera:) and keep posting...you have some great shots.

thanks guys:)

arreymbuo, i do have a color version of this shot (except without these clouds...they rolled in after i had used my roll of velvia)...and even though they are not quite the same clouds, i do like the B&W a LOT more than the color, and i imagine i would even if the color had more clouds. for some reason the B&W captures what i was going for and wanting to see in the final product...it's just a personal opinion of mine:)

leigh, i did play around with the contrast in photoshop but i left it pretty much how it was in the print, and the reason for that is that if i had made a more contrasty punch to it, the trees on the far left (and their reflections) lose quite a bit of detail in the leaves and shape and the reflection looks quite black and, in my opinion, makes it just a little distracting. thanks for the suggestion though:)

Hi John. This is beautiful. I'm so jealous of this beautiful scenery! I am wondering if a little contrast punch might make the foreground stand out a little more. Maybe like this... (there's not much of a difference really).

Hi John!
Nice image.

Don?t you Think a colour picture would be better? I mean everything should remain the same, just not B&W.

Nice composition here John. The entire image is alive and filled with beauty in my opinion. The little bush in the left corner does add some foreground, but you could probably live without it as well. Nice job.
