About From the 30th annual Mosport Vintage Car Festival, June 21/09.
The MG TC is generally considered to be the car that was responsible for starting the "Sports Car" craze in North America just after WWII.
The guy that owned this one had a great sense of where to park for a nice photo opportunity.

Yes, again something classic and it works perfectly. With all the "deviations and inventions" we should not forget that there are always those timeless classic lines, I guess. I think that they will continue being so special even after a century.

Cheers!

Thanks Nick.
I'm glad you gave this one a great review. I've had this one up on my desktop from the same day I took it. I was very pleased with this outcome. Just a simple classic profile. But, sometimes that can be very effective.

A very very classical touch here, Andre, as it has to be for such a car! The coloring is vivid and well defined but also not exaggerated. It looks very natural and also very fresh. Great focus and DoF too, for enhancing the details of the car in front of the details of nature. Strange enough, the car doesn't look at all like an "intruder" there. It looks as if it really belonged to that place.

The whole appearance of the car is terrific. You even captured the reflections of the grass in the door! And except of a small stair-step effect on the edge of the windshield everything seems to be completely smooth in the curves of it.

The whole composition in its restricted color palette looks well balanced and almost as if it was an image of some publication about such oldies in some luxury magazine. I was about to say that the owner knew exactly where to park, but as I see you already covered this subject in the aboit box. Well, I guess that if somebody has such a car then he/she also knows how to make a good impression. ;-) Which this time is good for the photoprapher too. At last some support from other people! ;-)

Very very good work!

Thanks very much for all your support Ray.
Yes, this one was a real beauty. I have so many more, but I don't see much interest on this site for automobiles, so I will only post a few.
Thanks again.

Thanks Gary,
I'm glad you like it!
Not a lot of interest in cars on this site for some reason :(

Thanks again Susie,
Yeah, I've cloned a few legs and trash bins out of images myself. Another way is selective blurring, but I think the cloning method is better when done with care.

Beautifully detailed my dear friend and nicely positioned for you. The richness of tone is wonderful and the one time mighty MG is a joy to see. That is one very lucky owner of a vintage car in pristine codition. Excellent photography from you as always Andre. My very best wishes to you.....Ray

LOL ~ 'it's a lot more difficult to get the cars in an image without a lot of pasty legs in Bermuda shorts or someone scratching themselves' ~~~ how many hours have I spent cloning those out!! Best to you, Susie

Hi Susie,
There are lots of great places for the owners to spread their cars out at this event. Funny how they all pose their cars so nicely, with that air of casualness. Notice how this one has the tonneau cover pulled back just "so".
When they all get together for the show, it's a lot more difficult to get the cars in an image without a lot of pasty legs in Bermuda shorts or someone scratching themselves. :)

I love MGs and how considerate of the driver to give you such a great backdrop .. most old car gatherings here have too many people milling around them! Terrific colour and detail Andre!

Thanks Allen,
Yep, great in colour, but not so great for a B&W conversion due to red and green both translating into medium grey. (filters needed)

Pretty car :-] ... excellent colour contrast (as you note in your about) and very sharp.
