Thanks John, this was a great find as I was driving by this sign. I stopped and looked at it. Went and put on my 28mm prime and played with it. Wanted good DOF for all to be clear. The colors were such a treat, when I downloaded this I was tickled to get such color contrast. So glad you liked it. Have a great Holiday season.

what a great landscape, really that W hole on the metallic texture adds a lot on that landscape, makes it very original.
Another great element here is the powerful difference of the colors, the strength of the rust against the softness of the landscape.
best regards!

Really nice composition and dof, Stan,
Very pleasant the rusty color
against the depth landscape.

Happy Holidays!

Thanks Paul, I was given a Paul C Buff 5000 strobe and a 45" silver and black umbrella with stand to use. I bought a Minolta Vf flash /incident meter. I posted a self with it yesterday. I am going to build a reflector that I can make portable next. I will ask for help along the way. Thanks so much for your support and encouragement. I am excited to get in the mode. I did some outside engagement pictures yesterday and they were really excited about our results.

Thanks so much .B. I have started to look at a lot of things different after I got my Rebel. So much to see in other ways. This is my favorite part of these mountains. Have hiked and fished all of it, it is like another world when I am in the mountains. The Hollow Top is an incredible place to hike. I back country ski on the north sides of this are in winter. Elk, deer, bear, eagles and all forms of life abound. I am so glad you saw this like I do.

Thanks Harry, this was definitely prime time after the storm. It was bright , clear and cold. The oxidation of the W caused me to stop for this one.
I was on a back road into a ranch that was against the mountains and the view was spectacular after the storm.

Thanks Howie, I used a Prime lens I got on Ebay for this because of it's great clarity and DOF. The sun was really lighting up the W for me and I was hoping to get this kind of result. The oxidation was so rich against the blue sky and the fresh snow.

Thanks Gust@vo, this road marker caught my eye and the colors of the day were so beautiful in the morning sun. I wanted for the part of the W to point towards the mountains and also have focus on the strong colors of the sign. Thanks for the great comment..

Thanks Mitra, wishing you were there. This is the kind of mornings I love here in Montana. Cold and clear after a storm. The mountains were calling to me in there beautiful adornment. I thought it would be fun to see how this would work. So glad you liked as well. Have a great weekend.

Thanks Teresa, glad it caught your eye. I guess these roadside attractions catch my eye and the day was very cold and clear after the snow. I was on my way down a ranch road to an auction when I saw this. The mountains behind are my home away from home.
