Keith, I think the duke missed this one, but I do think he stayed in a Holiday Inn! I am going to continue to post some of this Montana history after seeing the interest in it. Thanks for your interest as well.

Thanks Gary, yes there were 2 huge Cottonwood trees that I cropped with the camera to fit in the house. Here is a shot from another angle. Thanks for your interest and comments.

Thanks Paul, your comments are appreciated. this house was nestled in between 2 huge cottonwood trees. It was cloudy so the colors were not spectacular but you can still see the detail and shapes.These old buildings are maintained to help keep the site as authentic as possible without losing the historical value of them.

Mike thanks, such a nice structure my camera was in action before I thought about it. This whole historical district is really nice. An old mining town and great wealth of information of the early days in Montana. Even a few hangings for the socially inept.
