About
Another shot at paynes prairie before my old telephoto lens stopped cooperating with my camera :( Actually shutter speed was 1/1250 but there was no option in the drop down list.
Thanks for the reply, I know what you mean about adjusting the levels a little better in ps. However most of the time I can't get out to take pics until around 4:00 est and even then I'm almost always over exposing +0.3. I'm sure I could play around with curves and what not and get a little better color if I spent more time on it, but I would just do that for printing purposes. As you can see these gators are in very shallow, muddy conditions which can lead to darker shots. I try and catch them when the sun lights them up better for me, especially if more of the sides of them are exposed. (lighter colors on sides and bottom of the gator)
this is a nice shot, sandy! the guy was aiming at you! thanks for the telephoto lenses ;)
2 tiny things i'd like to mention here: 1- a tad of levels tweak (on PS) and the colours and overall contrast could be boosted. 2- the omposition is ok. however, i think you could have improved by leaving more foreground to allow this lovely nice guy some space to move towards you. best regards.
