Thanks Shirley, this was taken from artist point which is one of the most spectacular overlooks in the canyon. I used curves to really pop the colors. It had been a gray day with intermittent snow most of the day. We had sun at times and that helped catch some of the hot springs and geysers in their colors. be well, stan

Barbara, was so glad that I could share this with you and that you can appreciate the beauty as we see it through the lens. Cannot replicate the cold wind and the crisp clean mountain air of the canyon but I think this image captures the vastness around you in this canyon. I am sorry for your husbands limitations for travel. If you ever needed a tour guide I will be around here for a few more years. I make at least one or two pilgrimages to the park every year. I like early spring and late fall because the multitudes have come and gone. My best! be well, stan

Hi Barbara, thanks for the nice words. This canyon is a must if you ever go to the Yellowstone Park. It was a stormy day but the afternoon found some sun to brighten the day. An amazing geological wonder to view and appreciate. be well, stan

Thanks Dave, got a little late afternoon sun after snow, wind and heavy clouds most of the day. This canyon is about 22 miles long and between 800-1200 feet deep. The walls are very steep and is a sanctuary for nesting osprey. I saw 5 osprey nest from several vantage points. be well, stan

Thanks Ian, it had snowed off and on most of the day but was able to get enough light in the afternoon to catch some of the colors in the canyon. I loved the textures of the canyon walls and the way the colors flowed into the patterns. Thanks for the nice comment. Be well, stan

Beautifully framed! Could be a microscope slide or a piece of alabaster. Good use of colour on a shadowless day.
