This could be sold as an ad for a leather goods manufacturer. I see the fundamentals of two nice shoulder bags and a wallet right there.

I think this one is terrific. The PS work is good BUT what makes it for me Musaba is the expression in the child's eyes. No amount of Photoshop can make up or outdo what you captured on camera. Congratulations.

Nice composition Musaba. I bet it would work as well or better as a black and white.

Nice photo. You caught him in action too. The photo is sharp as well. The only thing I can comment on is like Eric, the kid's eyes have no life. They need a catchlight.

Looks terrific Kelly. The only thing is that the face is a bit blurry. Either the focus was off a tad or the shutter was too slow perhaps? Otherwise super, but Peggy would be a better judge than me. She's a professional portrait photographer.

Damn. Darrell is right Roy. It's all in the light. He has the only worthwhile comment out of everyone here. I just learned something too. Thanks Darrell.

Hey Kelly this is much more interesting. New pose new viewpoint. However, technically the photo is no good. The leaves behind the girl are in focus but the little boy is fuzzy. My guess is that he was moving when you shot or your camera was out of focus. This is a no no for portraiture. Also there is just a bit of light missing from the faces. You might try a fill flash or a reflector to erase the shadows. Keep working on your camera angle, up, down, side to side.

Nothing bad here but there's nothing really that catches the eye. Just another smiling kids shot. I know it's difficult to have imagination and originality in every photo you take but you should look to do something different from the run of the mill. Perhaps posing your subjects differently or taking the shot from a different angle will give this photo more freshness.

Nice landscape Kelly. Two comments. The bridge seems to be tilted up from left to right. Did you want to photograph it this way? I can't tell from the water if your camera was level. Also the electrical lines are a bit distracting. I understand that there's an easy way to remove these in photoshop. Still it's very nice.

Nice photo with good expression on the subject. It seems to be a bit off center and I find this a bit irritating. You might want to have some more background lighting. The kid looming out of the blackness does not match with the self-contented expression on her face...just an opinion.

Sharp as a tack Roy and the curves contrast nicely against the straight line of the building and the cylinder of the columns.

Sort of a wierd perspective for a fishing shot. The kid looks bigger than the father. The only way you can tell one is the father is that he's the one with a cigarette sticking out of his mouth.

Gorgeous colors. I may be missing the point but this would make a nice photo without the people in the foreground too.

Sorry to disagree but I like your portraits a lot more than this one. This scene is lackluster and the shot is banal. I'm no Ansel Adams or Jack Dykinga but good landscapers don't take a shot unless the scene is stunning in some way, either with brilliant colors, interesting perspective or some main point to be emphasized in the photo. A suggestion for improvement may be to focus in on one subject rather than a whole disorganized scene with a dock on one side trees in the middle and the shack on the other side. Maybe a reflection shot only of the dock will give the photo a more interesting focus.

Hi Larry, you figured that right. About the only thing I know how to do in photoshop is to load the program. This is what good old Velvia with a Tiffen warming polarizer will do in clean air...oh but then you come from permanently hazy and smoggy Southern California...

The big trick was to get the image digitized since I don't have a scanner that can handle 4x5 color trannies. Altaf being the tricky little Indian that he is showed me how...We simply put the transparency on a light box and I took a photo of it with my digicam (!) It was stupid simple and it worked fine.

Being both drunk (Calvados is good but deadly) and freezing, with my tripod on a sloping sidewalk at the time I took this shot, I am not at all surprised with the left lean. Too bad I didn't have a LF camera with me to correct the perspective but when you're on a business trip you are very limited in the amount of camera equipment you can carry.
