Roger, thank you for the suggestions. I've touched up the photo with your ideas in mind. I use Ulead PhotoImpact instead of Photoshop and their levels tab, which may be similar to your dynamic range. I cropped the photo to the edge of the valley floor to help convey a sense of 'flow.' Anyway, you'll see the results on my posting. Again, thank you for the suggestions. Rodney

I sometimes find that expanding the dynamic range can liven up a photo that haze has rendered "sleepy," but sometimes you want the haze to give a sense of receding distance. Perhaps that's what you were aiming for here? Cutting back the exposure also works to some extent. Difficult! A square crop of the lower part of the photo works very well, too...

These colors are amazing. Believe it or not, the Texas Hill Country looks this way in the Fall, too. Take a peek at 'Lost Maples' to see what I mean.

What beautiful colors Rodney and a full valley of them at that.
I don't think the haze really takes away here, more like it allows the up front colors to be more pronounced.
Welcome back
Kind Regards
Lee

Too much haziness, dear Rodney!!! Something calls to be done in the upper part, where the white sky is bothering.
Otherwise the composition is great!!!So many colours and so many shapes.

I like the haziness as it gives a nice backdrop to the gorgeous vivid autumn tones. lovely composition
