About a collage created with Picasa3.
Ended up with a strange crop that I believe may be intended for viewing on a widescreen monitor. I will recommend a custom frame/mat. The print looks decent enough, I'll have to see how the resized image appears on UF.

I took around 1300 images at this wedding...and it's growing....have all their picks printed and now am playing a bit. :)

again, my hat's off to wedding photographers...

Hi Kes,
I too take ALOT of photos at weddings I do, 1000+ easily. Though I do limit myself to only editing some of them, and not all of them like I used to do.

Great blended shot here, will have to check out some software to do the same. I currently use Photoshop CS1, which is fine for now.

Liked your profile shot with washing machine, was there nothing better on the TV? ;-)

Hey Kes,
It sounds like the price was right :)
Funny how everyone has been so quick to jump off the CRT monitor band wagon.
It's the same with the flat screen tvs. We were looking last Christmas at plasma and lcd tvs. They seem great as long as you have hi-def and 1086 dpi and premium cable and blue-ray discs and players and cable boxes and widescreen formatted programing... and so on and so on. To top it all off, if you don't have all that premium stuff to go with the new flatscreen, the old CRT screen performs better in every way.

Well done, it's always good to see wedding , or any formal occasion, photographs that are creative and even experimental.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>CONGRATULATIONS<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Well done Kes, a well deserved award my dear friend. I love what you have done here. The merging of the images and the gorgeous sepia like tone. Looks great on my monitor. I did wedding photography about 50 years ago, film of course and never, never anywhere near 1300 shots my friend. I hated wedding photography with a passion and I always duck requests to do them these days. Well done to you, a true labour of love. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray

Hey thanks, Andre. At least I didn't shoot them all in raw. :)

I picked up a "new" monitor at a second hand store...an 18" IBM. Had a 20" Dell but the screen was etched and color fading. But for $16 out the door, much better image quality (imo)than a new flatscreen I recently tried.

Thank you, Saad. There was also the reception, with many friends to photograph. The bride playing volleyball in her gown, men pitching horseshoes, the fat chick in the bikini, and on and on.

It was fun.

All the best,
kes

A great job Kes!!
It does show very well on my monitor. Like you say, a custom frame is going to compliment this one too.
Congrats on the well deserved award!

1300 images at a wedding... you are a better man than I . ;)
It has to be one of the most under appreciated jobs ever.

My Hat too ,for the effort of the I300 images in just less than three hours maximum, this would be five shots per minuet+.
A great one ,though it is so difficult to recognize the face details over the groom unless you see it in its largest size, the very light pink colors adds a lot,
really a very fine effort with so nice result.
be well and fine,
Saad.
