About A combination of two images, photoart. I liked the Autumnal light in this shot of a local church (St Mary's, Heworth). Just needed something else.....

Canon S2 on focal length 6mm (full wideangle)
True settings 1/200s @ f5

Autumnal colour enhancement (RGB) Slight crop. Layering of two photos.

Before I read the 'about', I thought you'd got incredible dof for f5.6 - it never occured to me it was two images! The lighting on both is the same golden warm colour, and it doesn't look superimposed - very masterfully done!

That concept never occurred to me, Len. A nice piece of philosophical insight. I was just glad I could blend the two images together! Autumnal afternoon light, does half the work for us, I think.

Thanks for the thoughtful viewpoint, Len - it's contributed to this image for me.

Regards
Colin

Good idea. I wouldn't have guessed it was a combination of two images. (Like the impression of regarding our reflection rather than looking ahead to the graveyard that looms in the background!)

Best wishes

Len

Colin, just to let you know, I seldom comment on photo art because I seldom know what to say... Just not my thing, I feel. Not a criticism, just an expression of helplessness more than anything else.

A very worthy image in it's own right, Colin! I like the shadow falling on it as well as that gorgeous light on the church and the gravestones. The few splashes of colour, especially the red tree and the scattered leaves on the ground are the finishing touch. Very well composed.
Dave.

Here's the original St Marys church pic, Dave. Without my mug. I've rotated it (and cropped) by 2 degrees, counter clockwise. As it was wonky.

I loved the late afternoon, Autumnal light, making the church golden.

I'd appreciate a critique on it.

Thanks for your visit, Colin. i love this view with the mirrored self portrait. It is so obvious, still so attractive. When I shoot video from car, I often use this angle. Your S2 looks gorgeous! Cheers, Gyorgy

A good idea, Colin and well executed! I'd like to see the church in a shot of it's own with that lighting, it looks like an intereting place.
Dave.
