Janet,
I was just looking through your portfolio and I had to call my wife downstairs to have a look at your beautiful children's photos. She made me open almost all of them! This is a great example of the originality and enthusiasm that shows through in all of your photos. I think you are one of the best if not the best on this site doing this kind of thing. It doesn't hurt that you are blessed with a few of the cutest models around either :)
Keep up the good work in this area. Those kids are going to love this stuff in a few years.

Personally, I think the scene is so much larger than life, that I'm not bothered in the slightest about the crop. And sure, David's suggestion looks like one way to go if you're not entirely happy with it...

Yep love it without the border -- I think it looks cleaner and 'spacier'. I think if you bumped up the background white, you could clone in some more space easily.

I have a bad habit of taking a shot like I would crop it, but that gives me no leaway at all, and sometimes I cut it a bit close...like the elbow I cut off the other day :(

His costume was pretty tight so he had a hard time moving his head ~ but I think he is just looking at the gun.

Thanks, Amanda...a small fight ensued over gun possession and he ended up face down hanging on for dear life, while she just dragged him around. It was quite comical! And I'll have to go through those, but I just don't have enough room to back up :(
He has a tail that I still managed to chop off, but not sure if I could add on and lose the tail well enough for it to look okay! Here's without the border....what do you think?
