This is breathtaking!!!
No amount of money would get me out there even near where she is sitting. I get shivers just seeing her sitting there!
This truly is spectacular, I've never seen a picture of this.
VERY nice photograph, Lori :)

Hi Debarshi, WOW...great gift!!! I use auto white balance, but you can use manual white balance if you want a certain type of effect....something you might want to play with after you get used to the basic aspects of your camera. RAW is the photo stored without any compression. So as a RAW file it will be much larger then a image stored in JPEG. I shoot at the highest JPEG. If you shoot In RAW the options in Photoshop are much more flexible as to how much you can play with the images. NEF is just a image stored in a NIKON type file. If you get Photoshop 9 it will read these files automatically. Earlier versions don't that capacity. that is why I stick with JPEG for image files. You can always download the NIKON software to deal with NEF and RAW images which you can then convert to JPEG with them load them into Photoshop......what a pain....lol

Beautiful perspective, Tim, and it's great having Joanne sitting there for some scale! Your usual good colour and clarity, too! Thanks for your recent comments, I've been offline for a while so I'll be checking back to see your latest offerings. Dave.

Tim, I need some help from you regarding digital SLRs. I have been gifted a D50 by my parents. What white balance settings should I use ? manual ? or automatic ? and secondly what is` RAW and NEF ? how do I open then in Photoshop ?
