Hi Jon. Your comments are well considered. It was very humid that morning (taken between rain showers), which might account for the muddiness. I mean of the image of course .... hahahaha. Perhaps I should have sharpened a tad before the upload. This shot was taken a few days ago, I'll visit again next week and hopefully the leaves will be at their best. My fav time of year for this place though is November, AFTER the leaves have fallen. Thanks for the comment.

This is a great series, Richard. The contrasts seem a little muddy - not quite the "pop" one might like to see (this might also be my monitor's fault, btw - if so, please disregard this comment!). Might be interesting to see this shot now, surrounded by fall colours.
