Thanks for your comments, Gyorgy, it sounds like you did quite a bit of travelling! We try to go to National Parks too, and I love the South West and the West Coast. I hope a new trip to America or Canada is on the horizon! The distances here though, are enormous compared to Europe.

Fantastic Ina, what a trip! I can fully appreciate it since perhaps the most fascinating experiences in my life were the two cross-country drives through the US back in the 1980s and in Spring 2004 when I drove from Kansas following the Lewis and Clark Trail, visiting the Olympic Peninsula and back on the Oregon Trail. 7300 kms in two weeks (as you can see from my Yellowstone pics -- and many are in reserve). Regards, Gyorgy

Hi Gyorgy, and thank you for all your comments! Yes, I was two weeks in Alaska (2nd time), and toured the interior by car (6500 km). This particular dredge was near the border with Yukon Territories (Canada). There were lots of relics and the landscape is beautiful. Unfortunately, there were 110 forest fires and visibility was poor for landscapes, as you can see in this one, but mostly it looked like dense fog.

Very moving industrial landscape with a delicate hue. Has great evocative power. Is it really in Alaska? Have you been there lately?

Oh, yes, I remember this shot from one of your Alaskan albums.Perfectly chosen tonality, the background marries well the ruin. It is a shot with a "ruinous" atmosphere! Love from Gabriela

Thanks Susie :) You're right about the sky, on a white background page, such as this at UF it's OK, otherwise it wouldn't look too good.

Hi Ina, I like really old and vintage looking places and this one is really nice. A wonderful misty moody background and a great composition with the angle of the hill on the right bringing the eye back to your wonderful subject. Nice tones and perspective..very nicely done..Linda

Whoa! What a great find. This is a wonderful historic photo. It makes you wonder about the activity that used to take place here. The white sky works really well to make it look almost 3-D. Nice one Ina! :)
