Echoing M. Collier: You're on a roll man! This is super good. Again stunned by the subtler renderings of this camera. Amazed it shows despite compressions and delivery over the web etc. My own Coolpix is a bit of a dust collector these days and seeing this doesn't encourage me to use it! Excellent!

Hi Todd,

Lost in translation, eh? great 2 dimensional front with a great contrast between the cold modern and the warm nature.

*nods at Carlos in agreement* ...definitely elegant, understated poignancy in this one, Todd. Beautiful work, and not in the least bit "weak".

The show (interview) was on ?NOW? ? an arts & culture program on the Mountain Lake PBS station on friday evenings? you can see clips at pbs DOT org ?

? yeah? money?s always short ;-)? and books more expensive than ever... No public library near you?

...glad you like the pixellated me too. there's a Chuck Close exhibit about 3 blocks from where i live which closes this weekend. i've gone through 3 times and am just amazed by his style and vision. this is my weak photoshopped attempt at a Close style self.

thanks C...always great to hear your thoughts. i love this new camera, and agree with you about the quality factor.

what show was Vonnegut on? i caught him on Jon Stewart recently...that guy is genius. i haven't picked up the new one yet (haven't picked anything up since the new camera, no money!!) but i did thumb through it at the store.

There is poignancy here Todd; ecological sadness in this lonely young tree - a fine image and statement.

??????????????

Vonnegut?s got a new book of short stories on the market - A Man without a Country. I caught him on an interview just last night. He looked in fine form ? a sweet, brilliant man!
and btw? love your new pixilated look ;-)? AND Todd, the quality of your images (never the vision), is markedly better with the new toy .
