Kevin - I adore images like this and am so fond of subtle gradations, esp in B&W. I am currently addicted to the idea of "pop" or "punch" in the images that come off my cam, which I shall have to shed in short order :)

Lovely atmosphere you've captured there. The early morning mist has desaturated those trees quite nicely, leaving the green mossy foreground as the only trace of colour. Unless, of course, this is another PhotoShop creation. Nice image, anyway.
