Thanks so much for visiting and commenting on so many of my Auto shots Robin!

I don't think cars are that popular here at Usefilm.

I love cars and photography.... put the two together and it's magic for me!!

The composition in this shot is excellent! You really know how to shoot a classic.

Hi Jeanette,
Just before I took this photo, I asked one of the owners if they ever rent their cars to movie companies. He told me that he did a few years ago, but he was disappointed because some of the movie crew did not handle the cars with respect. The movie company tried to get him to lend the cars for free.

This makes a nice automotive image with this view and composed as it is. The toning also fits these old beauties well.

Thanks Carolyn,

I think this one really suits B&W. I wish the flat black car on the end was in the middle, for a little more balance. But, you can't have everything.

Wonderful distinction and profiles of these vintage looking automobiles. Aesthetically appealling and absolutely beautiful!

Thilo,
There are so many aspects to photoshop that I haven't had any experience with yet. I seem to find a little bit every time I use it.

Hi Andre,

as long as you have your own way to make things, go ahead! there is no "general" truth for PS ;-)

Thanks Thilo,

I use a very old version of Photoshop. I find one of the easiest ways for me to get this result is to level the colour version first, then convert to greyscale. Then I convert back to colour and use the colour balance bars to get the desired tone effect. Maybe a little brightness/contrast adjust and that's about it. It might not be the correct way, but it seems to do the job for me.

Thanks Marcus,

But it's a lot easier capturing these than those hawks you shoot. They stood perfectly still for me :)
