I know it's extremely hard to get inflight shots of anything, let alone an insect this small, Larry! I think you did well to make this capture! Dave.

You're allowed to be grumpy...I agree it's not the standard work...My excuse is he was flying by whilst I had camera in hand with the 300mm...He never landed anywhere so I got this...which I think has some nice motion capture..my photos certainly not all stellar or anywhere close...Keep up the grouchiness George...It provides good comments.....ps.... used the same lense on the Dragonflys so it depends on the circumstances

This is an interesting technical exercise because of the size and activity of the subject. As a photo, though, it isn't very effective--certainly not in the same class as your recent dragonflies. I think this kind of shot might be better with a different lens with better macro capability--if you have the time to put it in place, of course. If it is as radical a crop as it looks, higher resolution might be helpful. Or maybe I'm just grumpy today because in these parts, it's too incredibly hot and humid to get outside. ;-) Regards, --George
