Mark this is lovely, I think you set yourself a hard task - for a first attempt to go for this colour and I think it is a begonia, I find this colour one of the hardest to get right and begonia seem to have texture that isn't the easiest. I think this is a great shot and love the gentleness of it, despite the bright colour, the little bugs in the middle add a great touch. I think this would also be good a bit abstracty - will attach a quick play I had with it - see what you think. I do have a begonia this sort of colour ready to put up - will upload it

No filter used at all !! just used my one and only 18-55mm lense , set it on macro and hey presto , a terrilbe photo hee hee hee !!!! cheers mate , see you friday .. marky .

Not your usual at all Mark, but very good all the same! I guess you used a close up filter to get this close? Great work with vibrant colours and the little bugs well defined against the flower.

I know what you mean about these shots being difficult to capture. I've tried a few and got big blurry things. You've done a great job capturing the beautiful, gentle essense of this flower. I think it's lovely.

Excellent attempt Mark. Try this under cloudy conditions and a small reflector to highlight the inner parts.

Cheers mate , spoke to keith about macro photos , He told me whats involved so i think i will leave it to the UF members that know what they are doing . a metal man taking photos of flowers ( NOT !!!! ) hee hee hee ( ROCK ON MATE )

Excellent shot, Mark. No worries - you got this down real good - especially if this is your first attempt. This is my favorite type of photography (except for old junk and selective coloring stuff, as you could probably tell.) I saw this shot in my "Friends Images" section and was like who the hell took that? Very different for you. Go crazy with the macro shots, Mark - there's beauty everywhere. Great work, my friend.
