About This chap was lying in the dunes, and blended in so well I almost stepped on him. And that?s the problem - I?d had this concept in mind for weeks, but the similarity of the dog and the background was causing me problems. I?m still not happy with it, especially on the left side. Any suggestions on how to improve it please? (I?m using PSP9, but should be able to find equivalent PS tools.)

Hi Gayle! I can assure you that this chap is doing just fine. I've seen him this afternoon, enjoying the sunshine on the beach just like everyone else...

Hi Gayle! Thanks for your comment. I'm sure this chap is doing just fine out in the dunes - people in Tarifa are very kind to animals like this. But I'll certainly go and check on him when I get home next week...

hi, like the concept and think Armando's version with inclusion of shadows works very well...now, i can't sleep unless you tell me that this doggy is fine and not lost in the dunes with no food or water!...so let me know,ok? please? ;> regards, gayle

Many thanks Margaret - I was hoping to get feedback like this! I still think the left side looks like it's been chewed out of a magazine or something though. I guess this may be insoluble and that Sally's suggestion of starting again with another shot is the only way forward...

You have done a great job, love the way he is nonchantly leaning out of the frame. I tried a bit of hue and saturation and then a bit of sharpening - see if you like

Your egghead is wild - glad to see he's not in an old yolk's home. Doesn't really help my dog though. Guess you're probably right about starting again...

He is giving you one dirty look - you sure you didn't stand on him?
I think it would be easier to shoot another dog on another backgound - I don't think you could have found a more challenging image to cut out if you tried!
I've been playing too - I've turned my dad into an egg head - and then realised afterwards, it looks like someone shot him!
