Absolutely perfect, Marcus!

Your comment on my humble, falcon pic, has given me the opportunity to look at your incredible bird photos. I've never seen an owl in the wild, and to photograph it...brilliant. 7.

You have wonderfully captured the eyes of a true predator. I think teh owl is the only bird to have totally front-facing eyes.

Thanks again,

Colin

thanks Fabrizio I missed this question, I do take a break from shooting sometimes when the birds action around the area gets slow, It is now the end of nesting season so things are picking up...
Thanks again...

Marcus, I've already commented on this one before, but I just saw it again and wanted to mention the eyes. They are so big and round... Very attractive.

I've only had the good fortune to photograph an owl once. On a golf course, of all places, and I don't even play the game!!!

You captured him very well Marcus. You must be pleased with this great shot considering you don't see that many where you are. Owls were quite popular around our area last winter, so we were spoiled with great sitings. You may have already seen my photos called "Don't Get Too Close" somewhere back on about page three of my portfolio.

Unless you know where to look they're as rare as hens teeth around here too Marcus. This is a most superb image that could not be improved on IMHO.
That lens certainly does the business. Well done.

Incredible expression Marcus, they are just so photogenic. The one of the burrowing owl in my portfolio is "imho" my best photograph.

I just don't see many around here and none during the daytime unfortunately :-(

Best wishes,
Steve

Oh, this is such a terrible shot. The bird is too still and there is no wing blur. I don't want to see any photos that don't have the bird flying....hehehehe!!

Only joking sweetie....great work. I think it is a great shot. If only I could get that clarity with the wild birds.

Marcus this is wonderful, love the close-up portrait of this wonderfully posed owl, and so exciting to get a catch of a rare (in your area) bird like this! I like the way you composed this, the colors and clarity are very good. I'm thinking of getting that camera...any hints or suggestions...and an awesome lens..very well done, I always enjoy your work...:):)Linda

Marcus this is so nice, your first owl sighting in the area and the owl's expression seems to say -'I've never seen you before'. fabulous expression and detail, it is such a thrill to see and capture something for the first time, I have some pretty awful pictures,[which I keep] because the 'first capture' is special.
