About By which I mean learning how to use a telephoto lens. I'm lucky to have a nice one, the Russian Jupiter... Many retirees in Japan decide to tend trees. There seems to be plenty of work to go around although it only pays pocket money. I asked if I could take a photo, and he agreed, but he WOULDN'T look my way... I like the quality of images given by this lens and am gradually getting used to it.

By not looking your way, the result is a more realistic picture of his work. The colour os so crisp. Great composiotn.

Hi Roger; this is a very nice composition and I like the subject too-- a Japanese gentleman intent at his work. I think you'll pick up telephoto use quickly-- guess I've been using (especially) telephoto zooms for so long that I don't think twice about the fact that it's on a telephoto setting. Thanks for the welcome back to UF-- had a 2 month+ cold. Cheers. Craig

Very nice shot Roger, the same sort of quality I get from the RF version.

Linda, I prefer "natural" to "vivid" in colours. I shot digital for a while (Nikon) but a tiny 1.8 inch screen didn't give me much gratification! I can get my film developed and scanned to CD-ROM in an hour at a shop 5min from the office, so I never have to wait long...

Crisp, clear and very natural colours, Roger.
A good lens and a well-taken shot.
Best regards, Chris

Great shot Roger, Certainly looks like you are getting on very well with the new lense. do they have to supply their own ladders and bags LOL.

Well done Roger..good choice....you know how I like my telephoto lens...good job fitting all the important elements into the frame...but the colors don't seem to be as vivid as your other images....I have to ask you a question about using film..Isn't it difficult to wait for your images to come back, or maybe you develop them yourself...I love digital because it's so instant and I love that instant gratification thing...I love being able to take a picture and look at it immediately....:):)Linda

Lovely composition, Roger. The placement in the frame is terrific. If there's one thing I love about telephotos, it's the way they help keep extraneous detail out of photos. :) Well done!
