FYI--I scanned the signature and inverted it to white on black. Then I erased the black with the "Magic eraser," leaving a white image on a transparent ground. The real challenge was sizing it properly with Image>Image size. I think it ended up being something on the order of .8 x 1.8 inches for the Usefilm size requirements. Open the signature in the same editing session as the image; copy and paste into the picture. Move it around with the move tool and adjust the opacity in the layers toolbox. I'm sure there is a more elegant way to do this, but I did it this way some time ago, and since it worked OK, I've been too lazy to try to refine the technique. Of course, I often just forget the whole thing ;-)
