About I was inspired by Kelly Munce to do this style of image. I am not sure how Kel went about creating hers but I know that with my image it took me three days to get the three images. I set up the flower and the camera and left it there untouched for three days. At 11-45am every day I took an image.

When I finally got them onto the computer I was a little surprised at mainly the difference in lighting and shadows. Considering there were no alterations with the settings or placement of the subject or the surroundings. Nor was there any artificial lighting used.

Thanks Kel...you're a gem. This one is for you.

Great sequence of the last stages of life. While the vase is off center, the shadows balance the images for me, and I never would have thought about it until I read the comments about it.

Great Idea. But why does my brain want them the other way around.. Must be a northern hemisphere thing... By the looks of the waterline, this took a few days? Did you leave the camera still or did you reposition every shot??

Well done

Each time I open a photo of yours, dcear Judi, I'm surprised by a new idea, perfectly executed, even if it's not originally yours. I think I'll send you an e mail that best decribes this feeling.
Thank you so much for your encouraging coments on my "Figures 1, 2 and 3."

Thanks Steve. I was at first perturbed about them being off centre...but I figured that life is always a little off center. Yes there seems to be two or three light sources...because the only light source I had coming on to the subject was 3 casement windows in the front wall. Therefore the angles of the open windows threw the shadows into what you see, which I actually found quite interesting and different then the one solid shadow.

I didn't want to try artificial light source as I wanted it as natural as possible.

I hope that makes sense.

Thankyou so much Angelo. There is still a difference with the lighting. If you look at the center one, it is slightly darker than the other two.

You artistic triptych implies scientific and philosophical questions.
Very beautiful representation of life.

Nicely done Judi, somewhat reminiscent of a series I did last year, see http://www.usefilm.com/image/631583.html and it's neighbours.

Hi Judi...

Awseome new direction - you really do seem to do well ay whatever you try!

This is a very nice triptych - though I it feels to me to be a little off balance with the glass slightly off centre in each picture (in fact I am only distracted by it on the third puc - but they are all off centre)

Looks like there are at least 2 or 3 light sources in the image looking at the shadows. Possibly artificial light would have given you a more consistent light to work with.

Well done on this new idea.

Nice one, Judi. I don't see many differences in lighting and shadows, so I guess a lot of work went into that. Well done.
