Thank you for spending the time commenting on my portfolio David. Your absolutely correct that most of my shots of May have been inside,depending on my camera's flash. I will attempt using only natural light and may you return back to my pictures in the future and see what you think. Eddie

Your daughter is really cute. Funny expression here.
I look tyhrough your portfolio quickly. You have some very nice portraits of you daughter but I also noticed that you are using the flash a lot. Having a lightsource coming directly from the camera creates a flat and not very interesting light. Leave the flash off and try using natural light sources like windows or bounced light from a wall or carpet.

They all have amazing child portraits and only use natural light. If the light is too low try to get your daughter closer to a window or other light and don't be afraid of dark areas and high contrasts.
If you are outdoors, make sure the sun is low (noon is the worst light) and place youself so the sun is somewhere behind and to one side of your subject.
