Yep! alot of these shots were from nuseries. Like shooten' fish ia a barrel. ;~]. Can't afford to buy all of them. My wife does the buying and I just shoot. We plan to go to the "Hill Country" for some real Live Texas Wild Flowers, so stay tuned...
Thanks for your wonderful comments. Peter

you always do such a good job with these flowers, Peter. These colors are so vivid, and the exposure so sharp. Are these all from your garden? I know some have been from a nursery, but you shoot such a variety of flowers-- it always gives me ideas for my little garden.

The easy part, the squigly lines is a style of Mask that takes away the edge. Then the image is layed on a black background. I've attached it with a white backgroud. As for the reds I use PSP tools to work with. Gamma Correction and Curves under Brightness and contrast. I also think I played with the saturation a little. Reds are very hard to shoot, always over saturated.
Thanks for your comment Peter

How did you get the reds to come out so well? I took several of our very lovely hybiscus and they look like neon signs! These are lovely. What are the little broken "squiggly" things along the bottom of the photo?
