Peter, I see you like flowers as much as I do. Do you enjoy the Dimage 5?
The background works well on this image. It almost looks like there was a lattice fence behind the gerbera. The centered composition works well here, perhaps the lattice pattern in the background keeps it from being static.

Very nice Peter, the x's in the background work out very well. I would like to have the bloom just a little higher in the frame. Might make the composition a shade better. Great color and exposure. Don.

Nice contrast between the bright flower and darker background, Peter, it really stands out. Image of the flower itself is good, too, nice and sharp.

Thanks for your comment. I usually crop differently, but I was trying to pick up the geomerty of the background I used. This was for the project I choise. I've got several different shots of this flower....

Hi Peter; this is a nice blossom with good color and detail, but I think the composition is somewhat static, and I'd suggest a much tighter cropping while keeping the flower's middle "off center". Cheers. Craig
