About Saw a number of these yesterday, but normally they are at the top of the tree way off in the distance. This guy was a fair piece away, but again its a 100 % blowup with a small section being the final image.

Nice shot, Jim! Looks like his feathers were getting a little ruffled in the wind.

Hi Jim,
You sure got a good one, his feathers are so soft looking. I like the diagonal line of the branch, very nice!

Excellent !
Everywhere I have been going here lately I have been zooming the trees trying to find a owl.....You Jim have cause owl fever within me ! I find the owl to be one of the coolest birds to shoot, I think that fact that they are hard to find adds to this. Not to mention I think that they are absolutely gorgeous.
Keep em coming Jim.

Andree
The Wind was blowing the feathers around, this bird has such fine feathering that any breeze at all causes them to look blurred. and they are so fine that even a fast shutter speed won't freeze them. THe bird is quite small

Unusual capture. The head is so sharp and it seems that he was shaking the bottom part of his body (the blur of his feathers). Great shot. Andree
