Wondeful picture Kevin, It give a sense of waiting for something soon to happen may be the tide or a sudden storm.
Great rendering in sepia.
Congrats Fabio

Both are excellent, but I would vote for the B&W if I had to chose. Why ? B&W is my choice when composition is perfect and color could interact with compositional strenth. Masts and rays of light connect sky and earth, the sepia version is more harmonic IMO.

Preferisco l'altra a colori, ma resta una foto stupenda, quella barca è un soggetto magnifico!

Kevin,
I may be disagreeing with Alastair on this one. Both versions are excellent. But, IMO the colour version is the standout. I'm not quite sure what Alastair means when he says something didn't quite fit near the front of the boat. There is a certain look in the air, just before a storm when the lighting is just right for this type of shot. I thought the colour version captured this perfectly.

Great shot!! I prefer this one over the color one (it looked like a 'colored in later job', a bit to pinkish...) In this version it kind of all comes together: great composition, sky, background and no distracting colors.... well done!!

I much prefer this to the colour version.... there was something about the colour one that just didn't seem to fit (around the boat in the foreground). I couldn't pt my finger on it though... In this one though the image seems very much more all as one. I love the clouds, the perspective, the angle and the toning. There are a few artefacts in the clouds but they does't detract too much at all. This is a fabulous almost timeless shot Keith...

I love the feeling of depth provided by other boats and carrying the mood to almost 3D. sephia tones gave another mystic athmospere and light rays performed a perfect background.. 7+ from me..
