About walnut blossoms on a friends tree - i LOVE this time of year here. :O) although today we were pelted with a strong northwest wind & hail! march on the coast of bc - if you don't like the weather, wait a minute & it will change!

shot as is in camera - with only a slight playing with levels in ps & slight blur in the upper left corner.

Very impressive smoothness overall. I might prefer the cropping less tight, but the DoF is extremely effective.

Nice focus. Great photo. I think they call this type of focusing - bokeh. Very nice.

Very well composed. Excellent DOF. I would have loved to see the full flower, im refering to the half cut petal.

WONDERFUL - both the shot and the flower (and i ENVY you, here it?s only snow). The light is great and i can imagine the smell.

thanks, Francisco. I actually took a shot with all of the petals included but i found that it made the main blossom too central, so i went with this one instead. What i was playing with in the composition was balance - having almost all of the detail tightly on the left side of the image & all that space & openness on the right. It find it fun to play around with compositions like that. I do agree, though, that it's a little sad to see the petals cut off. Thanks, again - jennifer

Extremely good control of the DOF; I just don't know about the tight crop on the left bitting the edge of the petal.Colours are fantastic and very nitid details.

Cheers!

Francisco
