Yes, the background was the sky. We had a beautiful sunny weekend and the sky was a wonderful shade of blue (I just had to find a way to work it into a photo). :)

Nice perspective. Different than the typical face-on photo. I'm not too fussy about the centering of the flower... this leaves some weird space in the top-left.

Simple and stunning, the square image works well with the composition. The background looks amazing like a mottled blue and white, was it just the sky? Great choice of shooting angle if it was.
