Great photo Laurie, the foreground and background really work well together in this - the smoothness of the sand and the clashing waves, creates a nice balance. And as always, love your tones to set the atmosphere to the photo.

Wow, Laurie, this one is really great! The duotone is sumptuous - gives it tremendous character! I love the distinct horzontal layers of open sea, crashing wave, smooth sand, emphasized by your framing. You can almost feel the texture of the sand! Then the two little sandpipers adding the coup de grāce!
(There's evidence of a little cloning in front of the first bird, but easy to fix!)

Beautiful capture, Laurie! The details on these two friends are very crisp, and the rushing water in the background makes for a stunning composition. I love the feel of the duotone you gave to it. Nice work!

Hahaha...I don't know why but this makes me laugh to see them walking like that, they seem kind of discouraged...I know I'm whacked, right? Just their poses look tired and discouraged, the first one resting the other one saying, wait up, I'm coming...great tones and composition...single file comes to mind too...beautiful contrasted against the white of the wave, great clarity Laurie..well done..Linda
