About First photo with 100-400 Lens on the Canon. I was driving home from the "Candy Store" when I spotted this plane inbound. I pulled over, fastened the lens set it at 400MM and fired as the plane went by. I haven't a clue if IS was turned on or not. Had to get home so no real time to experiment, That is to come. Besides I want animals in the viewfinder. First new Tele I have ever had. I always bought used stuff before so this is pretty exciting. Of course when I got bach to Duluth With an hour of daylight, "D" town was socked in with peasoup fog.
Maybe tomorrow
Thanks for looking

If this is the first out I can't wait for wildlife through it. Great shot Jim. I've still got brain pain over your Whatzit shot.

Great balls of fire, there will be no holding Jim now, Good luck with it, betcher when you go to sell your surplus lenses you will be informed that they have the dreaded fungus and are worth next to nothing.

Great shot of Northwest's finest, Jim! Amazing detail and clarity. If the IS wasn't on, you've got a mighty steady hand at 400mm(600 effective?)!
Dave.

Yes, I would want animals in the viewfinder also!
But this sure is a great shot Jim.

Nice lens you found at the 'candy store'; I like that kind of candy!

Very nice image,
Lori ;)

Don, I am hoping so. I keep the D70 and the 80-200 zoom, I 'll sell the 300MM F4 Autofocus I have been using for wildlife. Alos I have a tokina 80-400 zoom to pass along as well. Gotta move stuff to get more stuff.
Hope all is well. I am off to look at your other dune shots.
