About Wing's, Chinatown, Montréal, Québec, Canada, January 2005

This building was built in 1826 and it was know as the British and American School. Today, it is a fortune cookies factory.

A 35mm film was fitted inside the Holga with loose change (6 nickels at the top and 3 nickels and a dime at the bottom).

The negative was scanned with an Epson Perfection 3170 Photo scanner.

Thanks for your comments. Regards, Claude

According to today's rate (1 CAD = 0,855153 USD), 0,55 CAD will convert to 0,47 USD. But in the Holga world, rate should be 1 CAD = 1 USD. With 0,47 USD, you would end up with a loose film cartridge. 8)

Thanks for your comment!

How many clicks? I don't know since this Holga was silent. A rotation and a half of the winding button should do the trick at the beginning of the film. At the middle, a rotation and a quarter will be enough.

let's see $.55 USD equals what about $.37 Canadian Dollars?? outstanding! how many clicks does it take to move to the next frame?

thanks Claude

Hello Mark. It will also increase the value of your Holga. Thanks for the comments.

I'll have to try the nickels. Canadian or U.S., I guess. Sure beats trying to find foam.

I agree about the great color. It's that magical time of day. The mood and atmosphere is really nice.

Hello Kevin, I used the 120 film holder provided with the scanner. It took me some time to get the film straight into it. However the holder had the advantage of preventing the film from curling up. Thanks for your comment.

I love the color - I do have a question - what type of holder did you use when you scanned? great one here - love that comment below on the coinage .. K

It was cheaper than you think. Let's not forget that is was in Canadian currency. Thanks for your comment.
