Very intriguing Neil. Bet it would produce a very figured veneer if ever it was cut down. Well spotted. Den

Dave,
You made me blush!! Nope - not wearing them today!
But it's such a nice compliment that you'd think I'd have such a trim waistline as that!
LOL

Nitish,
I think you've got the right idea.
With a few exceptions, tree trunks split into smaller branches from ground level upwards.
This tree has two trunks which appear to have merged into each other! Very strange indeed.
I realise that some may have thought I had something else in mind with this image (and to some extent it did cross my mind as well)!

I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to Neil, but from the thumbnail, I thought it was a self portrait in very tight knickers! Dave.

Hi Joe,
I'm not giving away too much yet - don't want to spoil the fun, I'll see who says what and then I'll explain later.
It was taken on Greenham Common nr Newbury where I live. (most of my pictures come from Greenham)

Very nice! Is it just me, or does this 'tree' have a close friend? i refer to the moss covered counter part.
Where was this taken? I used to live in your neck of the woods (no pun intended!)
Joe.
