About Taken a few Thanksgivings ago on a cool and blustery day in the Chilcotin. Good thing we had a warm cabin and roaring fire to go back to!
This is another out of the "hey, look what I had" pile.... forgotten until a recent mass-scanning of slides.
Thanks to Becky V for helping me tone down the hot spot in the clouds... I'm glad someone knows how to help me with things like that!
Comments are welcomed.

I am really impressed by this picture (And of course the one that is 'staff choice') the colours in the picture are amazing. Nice purple moody shot. I wonder if you used ps in this one for making the colours stronger? But still an excellent picture!

Greets,
Lex.

Wow, Kim - that pile of slides is a pile of gold! This is really quite breathtaking (somehow more imposing than the mountains of Florida! :)
I love the little wavelet breaking in a splash of silver and the way the little bit of sunlight is glinting off the water and being picked up by the pebbles on the shore! I wonder if you could coax a little more lightness out of the snow-capped moutains in the background? (now I really know what they mean by 'purple mountain majesty!)

For me, that little wave breaking is the main thing in this photo, maybe just because that is how it would be if I were in this place: everything else would be still and that would be the motion to catch my eye.

Thanks Jim... there wasn't really a choice of violet... it's how the scene really looked (helped along by Velvia of course.)

Tim, thanks for your comment... the Chilcotin of BC is a very cool place to explore!

Kim, I like the choice of violet on this.
Adds to the mood of the scene.

hi Kim,
you get out to some cool places .... this is a good photo although its a little to violet for my tastes. Other then that the composition is wonderful as is the atmosphere you have managed to capture.

Cheers from Hornby Island....i have moved from victoria.
