I can't quite define why I've always liked this one, but it was probably taken with the 400mm fixed focal length telephoto lens I used to use with my old Fuji SLR for taking aircraft photos. A huge heavy lens it was mounted on a rifle grip and I'm surprised I never got arrested with it - but I guess it was a different world then (around 1980). Taken next to Bournemouth airport.
Getting to the south coast over Salisbury Plainalways used to be a pain in the butt because of this sort of traffic didn't it Neil. Thanks for the memory. Den
Yikes.. are you sure your not an american driving on the wrong side of the road there haha... brings back a lot of memories of when I lived in England... lots of small roads with big trucks LOL.. nice photo.. good work
You wouldn't want to get too close to that guy, he'd run right over you! I guess the telephoto effect compressed the perspective, but looks like there's a pileup of traffic behind him, too. Dave.
