About my wife encouraged me to upload this one and I'm glad now that she did.

Hi Kurt, when it comes down to this type of detail shots, I also learned always to listen to my wife... She has an eye for these things...:) It looks a bit soft; probably because of the scan. It does reduce the effect of the various textures a bit, but there's still enough left to appreciate it. The print would've been much more defined. The only thing I would do to this shot is correct the perspective; the strip of concrete below is a bit distracting, and aligning it with the frame would make the photo more balanced, I think. Well done, compliment your wife on her photographic eye!

Cheers,

hugo

This certainly appeals to our tendency to go hunt for treasure. That is what we are all doing here, isn't it. You've unearthed a beauty in this one.

Thanks for the comment, and you have quite an impressive portfolio, I must say. I especially like your abstract work and macros. Best wishes, Kurt

I like your way of thinking. Tell your wife from me, that she is a very smart lady. You should listen to her more often.
