Great Job Bev, As a Canadian I feel the loss in the United States of America as if it were my own. As you know we have the largest undefended border in the world. On behalf of myself, family, Province and Country we pray for the families and indeed all America in your time of sorrow.

Bless America. I am glad you are doing what you can to handle the situation. I love the montage. I write a lot and that's how I have been dealing with it all. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. We are indeed United.

This is well done, Beverly. You have tremendous support here in Canada, as well. Without doubt, this is a grievous injury to all of the developed world. I feel intense anger, at any group that would promote this kind of hate crime. Were I Muslim, I think I would be even more angry. The challenge will be to try and avoid life-long racism, and an unwinnable, smouldering war. An important key would be to have support from Muslims around the world. Images of celebration in the streets of the middle east do not help. They don't seem to realize what a blow this must be to their cause.

A powerful and moving image, in the UK there is a strong sense of closeness to the American nation and a deep sense of loss. Across the UK and western Europe yesterday everything stopped at 11.a.m. to remember those who lost their lives and all those who have been affacted by this appalling disaster. We feel and share your pain, it is ours too. Once again our nations will stand shoulder to shoulder. Kevin

As with John's comment I'm sure that many nations are praying for us and are really antagonized that such a strong, giving and wonderful country has been stricken by such tragedy as happened to the United States on Tuesday. That such a small group of people could attack us and do such devastating damage is horrific. I pray for the most part for peace and that the American government is wise and only goes after the ones who did this to us. I can tell by listening to the news that we must not become overwhelmed with hate but to find the people of hate and contend with that. I live what seems like such a far away place from such tragedy that I'm at a loss as to words of real wisdom and as for politics I have very little knowledge. I do know if I had a loved one that had died in this tragic event I would want justice to be done. That I will not deny. Just that we don't go overboard in war and hate. That we find the cause of this and deal with it accordingly. I pray that each indivdual lends a helping hand and that we do not become a panic ridden country but a just and wise one. From what I can see in the news coverage our government has been looking for answers. Finding evidence each day as to what has happened and acting with swift and accurate knowledge. As Artie said nobody really stops each day and asks the questions that need to be asked. A people that are in such a hurry to get here and there with no thought that there might be such hatred and evil lurking right around the corner. I think becoming paranoid about the person next to us would be an extreme, but cautiousness, slowing down, and having concern is long overdue.

Very well done Beverly...As with John, it is difficult living away from home when trajedy strikes....here the people are not as sympathetic as John is experiencing...The majority just feel all the coverage is a waste of time as; and most of these fools really believe that this doesnt affect them.....kind of hard to imagine this type of ignorance, but it is the general consensus.....none of them have yet figured out where the airplanes full of tourists come from; they just appear from the heavens I guess...or where all the cruise ships come from...or why they are always looking to buy US money...or the fact there are more people from this country living in the NYC area than actually live here... Thanks for the post...

Bev, this montage is extremely powerful. The profound words of Francis Scott Key couldn't ring more true today. Tomorrow is a day of mourning in Australia. Being an American in a foreign land has been difficult, since our feelings and anguish are with all Americans. I can say that the people of Australia are deeply hurt by these tragic times and have been exceedingly warm and patriotic towards us and all Americans. We have seen more "God Bless America" signs and flags at half-mast than we could have ever imagined in Australia. Australia stands at our side with prayers and support that makes us proud to be Americans.
