Emily you are good, and you pay so much attention to detail, I love it. Do you ever get tired of the positive feedback?

This is a very interesting portrait. I don't think you should tell people she was angry with you. Keep it a secret!

cheers

Wonderful 60's feel! Of course you are not old enough to have experienced the 60's, but you can always check out the history books. A great shot in any decade. Congrats.

Emily...(speechless). This is so totally different and I really had to keep looking at it to try and orient myself through the image. It took me an all of hmmm...five mins. to figure out what that slanting line in the foreground was...I thought at first maybe she's holding a whip? Okay, blame it on the fact that the coffee is going through me slower than usual today. But, ah yes, it's in fact a chair. At first look, it also looked like she was resting her arm on her bended leg-but of course the arm of the chair... Anyhow that is what I find so fascinating about this image-it has its own wierd twists-confusing the mind. I love the toning and unusual view. Well done, into favs for sure~

A great idea, dear Emily!! OK the expression, OK the grain, but super-OK for me the blurry arm with the hand in a lovely pose!
Compliments,

I am sure she has forgiven you after seeing how this turned out! This is really a wonderful shot, especially considering this being the full frame. Email me for help with fixing it if you wish. The vanishing arm and hand, the unusual angle, and the light are all great. Into my favorites.

very observant comment Massimo... she was indeed a bit angry with me because she didn't want me to photograph her... thanks... :)

Emy,
Fantastic use of dof here. very selective - the focus is totally on her face. Excellent job! and the frame is no accident, it is your subconscious way of artistically adding a little more tension in an image:).... Well maybe at least accident can be a good thing sometimes.
