About
Hi, I'm new to this site, and as you can clearly see, I am not a photographer. My cousin introduced me to the site. It is my hope to meet and chat with some knowledgeable individuals and get some constructive pointers to improve my work and make some new friends along the way. I do motorcycle salvage as a hobby / business. Most of the photography that I do is digitals of parts that I am selling on ebay or similar online sites. Better pictures lead to higher bids and fewer dissappointed buyers so PLEASE offer any advice that you feel might be useful. Thanks and I look forward to getting to know you.
These photos are from a work in progress series that I did some time back. Nothing in this shot is for sale. I'm not sure of the ethics of posting any of my actual sale items on a site like this. Thanks for the pointers.

Hey Shawn. I agree with Jon. In this shot, I wasn't sure what you are "selling" - is it the reflector/shield or the mirrors. I see the red in the motorcyle more than anything. I know how hard a product shot can be. Look online to see "how-to's" by searching with Google, etc. Type in "product shot how to's" and see if anything comes up. Also - type in "photoshop how to's" and see if any sites offer help on editing them. Good luck to you and your business.
I think this would show up better sitting on pavement rather than on grass. Also, a reflector (big piece of white board) on the left would help fill in those shadows
