About Shooting at Ft Myers Beach a while ago, I walked up on a flock of Skimmers in morning light sitting on the beach. I stopped my 500mm lens down to gain maximum depth of field and started my approach. When I came into a shooting range, the flock took to wing and without thinking of my camera settings, I fired off a burst of film. Realizing what I had done, I figured on a small waste of film until I got my slides back in the mail and seen the results. Birders World also liked the results and placed it third in the Flight category in their annual photo contest last year.

You shot this in my backyard! (Well, almost)
What a wonderful shot! So full of movement and
fluidity. Must be nice to know about camera settings, "point and shoot" is the name of my game:)
Congrats on your well deserved award!
