Strong! You Desaturated this? Very hard to believe indeed! I wonder what the original looks like... Nicely balanced composition. The sunlight below the rainbow in the fields is excellent, it really adds something to the image.
I find the plant on the right (and some of the twigs entering the composition from below) a bit distracting. Have you concidered cropping the right one out?

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Chris; this is a wonderful rainbow whether it's your first or 100th! the lighting is absolutely excellent and the composition just as good. I've captured none as good as this.

I'm glad you told us you desataurated this and I can only imagine how brilliant the colors must have been. I've occasionally had to desaturate sunsets to make them "believable". An excellent capture my friend. Cheers. Craig

Go into a quiet room and ask for forgiveness !!
Chris, this is a great rainbow, it shows up really good. Getting rainbows to show isn''t easy, they are always lighter than what you see.
Nice job, and deal with that desaturation problem right away !!

A rare beauty Chris! I belive you: bad weather makes colour very saturated and, as I guess, using lower exposure valus in order to greatly capture the rainbow, saturate colors as well.

It's not often you see them as rich as this Chris. Congats for being at the right place at the right time. Perfectly present as always.

;.) Fun..I'm very often singing: Somewhere over the rainbow..etc..etc.. mostly the line: where problems melt like lemondrops.. :-)
I think there's something very magic about the rainbow...and the story about finding a treasure where the rainbow ends is sweet...! And..now I see where it is..the treasure... :-) Right there...on the left.. behind the tree...
Thanks for sharing..it's a wonderfull photo..and I don't know what you did...but you seem thrilled about it..that's nice...
;-)
Take care
Merete
