About Now would you do me a favour?

You will?

Thanks!

It'll only take half a minute?

Promise!

Just get up off your chair, take a big step back, and now look at this photo again!

Does it look any different?

Because that's what I just did with one of Merete Westerdahl's wonderful images and the whole thing really came to life!! Wow!!

So, whether it looked better or not, I hope you found the experiment worthwhile because it may just work with some of the other stuff you see on here?

And, who knows, later this evening I might just be doing it with one of yours!!

Happy viewing!

Thanks for your interest and friendship.

Your UF friend?

Hi Chris, nice experiment, indeed it looks like a 3-D-Effect:)

best regards, Pia

P.S. THANKS for your "motivation" about my portrait, but the scan from the print was a little unsharpen, so I had to delete it....

Amazing is all I can say Chris! and yes you are right it does look more wonderfull from away, I guess when you are close you see it as image composed of pixels, but from away you see it as a photo.

Incredible moment captured Chris..the peaceful setting sun and clouds with the soaring bird displays such a contrast and I would defiantly considered placing this under the Decisive Moment project as well,

Hi Chris. One awesome shot! I did not only follow your advice, but I also went back to your portfolio to look at this one in retrospect with the many, many others..... This one stands out. Outstanding!

AS always your signature. I stood back and saw what you spoke of, although if larger it would have had more impact. Send me a 6 GIG file ;-)
Just a wonderful shot. I can visualize it in a large frame hanging on the wall. But you don't have a big enough house for all your " print quaility" images

This look just wonderfull..if you close your one eye..and holding your hand infront of the other!!! :-)

I know what you mean... and sure almost everything looks better in a distance..that's what you do at the museeum...right?? I think it's because the lines and colours are playing better with eachother this way... and you can go into the image if you step back...
Hm..
:-)
Btw..your image is GREAT!! The colours of the sky is stunning..and the bird..wow!! Perhaps it wasn't present at the time..but doesn't matter....what matter is the feeling of watching this...thank you
;-)

Hugs
Merete

I've been one of your guinea pigs Chris. It is different, makes me feel I'm viewing it through a window and me poor ole eyes, not being what they were, makes me want to get up closer for more detail. I take the point though that things can often be viewed in more than one way.

Chris it really is great :-) First class PS work (still awaiting for your book coming out lol).

It really has come alive, the composition is excellent and beautifully presented by "frame a la Chris" ;-)

Best wishes,
Steve
