About See, I knew what you were thinking: "Spracks is at again! Dropping in a new sky to spice up a dull-looking pic!" Well, whilst admitting that it has been known to happen on the odd occasion, I can put my hand on my heart and say: "Not this time, Guv!"

This was the kind of spectacle we enjoyed for most of yesterday ~ one of the best days off we'd had in ages!! (And that's saying something!)

Thanks for looking!

Best regards to all,

Chris

Awesome sky, great perspective, the coast line and the line of clouds leading the eyes. Exposition is spot-on, very natural colors. I think, your decision on the horizon decline is right

Beautiful perspective. The lines of the clouds and the white line of the coastline all converge in the distance. lovely!

Certainly is an impressive sky there Chris - and a coast line!!! Never see those in Leeds - it's 2 hours either way to the sea :-(

is that a village or load of caravans?

What an excellent sky Chris!!! Those straight lines mimic the placement of the caravans perfectly! And they also reinforce the line of the fence in the foreground too... Excellent shot of a sight I normally run a mile from (caravan parks!)!!!
Well done!!!

Chris, I do like the way the various lines etc draw the eye in different directions, the shoreline draws the eye away, and the clouds draw you back in. Excellent composition, and of course wonderful sky

Hi Dave,
This is part of large holiday caravan site. Not very picturesque, but unavoidable if you want to shoot this particular view!
Kind regards,Chris

Well, Chris, you had to acquire all those beautiful skies you have been known to use "on the odd occasion" SOMEwhere. I guess we now know where! I shall be on the lookout for this one. Memorable!

Fabulous sky and clarity Chris! From your about I get the feeling that you feel some gulit about the other images, and this one you want to prove your innocence :)

I think that goes "the sky is real, only the names have been changed....etc". The sky is a thing of beauty and the clouds in rows like that a really unusual picture. You've done it again, Chris! Best wishes, Larry.

Very reassuring. Did you Brits send up a satellite or something?
Interesting perspective Chris. It's as if we are being drawn into the frame ourselves. I have the same gear as you and sometimes struggle with horizons and such. I think it is largely due to the wide angle of the lens. As is the norm with your work, great colours and composition.

Still - Thats an unbelievable sky inspite of your confession !

What a day that must have been. Beautiful and a day to savor.

Beautiful coastal scenery. The clouds are heavenly. I think I recognize the fence from a previous picture.

Hello, Father (may I call you with Father?),
Tremendous lines of clouds here, get along very well with the housing. Great view and perspective. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on my pic. I added you to my friend list, and I do hope you won't mind..:)
Best regards from Indonesia,
Hanggan

Thanks for clarifying that, Chris! I do wonder sometimes, not just your shots, either! It's nice how the lines of clouds mimic the shore line with the line of surf. What sort of development is that?
Dave.

NICE! And I just had to laugh reading your sincere pledge. You know what? I believe you, I really do! No doubt in my mind here! Master Spracklen once again managed to outsmart his critics and capture a real life sky, too good to be true. Excellent job!

Cheers,

hugo

Thanks for the kind comment, Fabio!
I know what you mean about the rotation, but I think it must be an optical illusion because I've checked it with the uprights of the vans and buildings and they're straight up!
The land does slope away from the coast, though, so I think it just looks like it's a bit tilted.
Best regards, Chris

Glorious view Chris, and you didn't need to do any thing with the sky. It simply draws the attention.
I see you've the same prob as we have in Northampton - new age travellers (oops).

Nice place and picture indeed.
Do you use a filter at the shot moment?

Just a suggestion, for me you have to tilt CCW the picture.

Best regards Fabio, keep on sharing these views.
