Dear Jo,
wow, a triptych AND a second background layer? lots to watch and to think ;-)
First of all, I like the idea a lot. the left and middle work together very well... I'm not so sure about the right one as the opacity seems to be different (at least, I see it that way). the blur of the foreground layer doesn't fit that well with the wing of the plane IMHO. Did you make that deliberately? If so, why?
anyway, this picture shows your skill very well. BW is wisely chosen, if I may add.

So nice work with very good b/w; I like the composition with the "collage" of the trhee elements and with the "oniric" presence of the sky in the background of the image.
