You show a really superior sense of composition at times Dirk... I hope you cultivate that gift....Nick
You can take this into PS duplicate the layer then hit Multiply in blend mode... that can give your image some of it's "substance" back....I like it as is...

I have checked out your portfolio/gallery, and I know you are capable of making a duplicate of this. I would use Agfa 25 and your nikon with 45 degree lighting and a polarizing filter, or you can even shoot it in color, since it is already toned perfectly (again using a 25 asa film). I don't know where you live, but if you put this fantastic piece through Photo Shop and "play with the contrast" I will hunt you down and put greasy thumb-prints on all of your lenses then steal all your lens cleaning tissue...you have been warned!!

Great story, she looks as if she is posing for you, what a great capture. That one stone figure seems to be checking her out. Nice contrast between the soft and hard images. Maybe in Photo shop you could play with the contrast more although I like it like this. also maybe cropping the top up to the 3rd figures head to eliminate some of the light glare on top. Really nice photo. Alison

The circumstances make this an even more precious photo to you, and it is quite lovely.

Very interesting contrast between the two subjects, the girl and the stone carvings. Her youthful and innicent face is quite charming in contrast to the massive stonework, which hangs over her in a rather ominous way. Good work.

Good tonal harmony to go with the total contrast in all other respects between your two subjects here. Nice work.

I like the composition in here, it is a lovely portrait, and i like the statues to the left of the girl, they are adding a flavor, i like using the sepia as well, very well done, cheer,
